Bob is a skilled and effective mediator, who is extensively trained and experienced in helping participants create lasting solutions to existing or potential disputes. His areas of practice include all aspects of family relations – including pre-marital relationship planning; blending families of children and parents entering new marriages; marital separation or divorce (parenting plan, and financial and property disposition issues); and special issues facing elder family members, as well as ordinary issues of life that present special challenges to elder family members (and to loved ones of such a person). Bob's practice and experience also extends to buyer/seller and to broker/client real estate mediation, and to general civil, business, and commercial disputes. He is on the mediator rosters of the Circuit Courts for Queen Anne's, Talbot, Kent, and Caroline Counties, Maryland, and is on the mediator roster of the Maryland Association of Realtors Mediation Program.
Bob brings to his mediation practice an unusual blend of personal traits, professional and leadership experience, and intensive dispute-resolution training that offers mediation participants steady guidance through a tested-and-proven process in which they identify and talk through the underlying issues, develop potential solutions to the issues, and attempt to reach agreement on actions or commitments that will resolve the dispute.
Bob's 35 years of appellate legal practice, and his extensive professional and public service leadership experience in bar associations, community associations, organization boards of directors, and his county ethics commission, complement his organized thought process, relaxed demeanor, and genuinely friendly style of interaction – all of which combine to reflect competence, confidence, and credibility in guiding mediation participants through a tried-and-proven effective process of resolving their dispute.
